Meet our Sunday School

Co-ordinator - Tim McKenzie

Hi, my name is Tim McKenzie and this is my wife Nicole.  Together, along with a team of dedicated people, we facilitate an exciting Sunday School program at High Way Church.

Nicole and I both work in the education system and enjoy working with children of all ages.  In addition, we are delighted to be responsible for teaching children about God's love every Sunday.  In the Bible, Jesus wanted the children to come to Him (Mark 9:37 - "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name, welcomes Me...").  The Bible also tells us that children are a blessing from God (Psalm 127:3 - "Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him.")  God values children because He knows that even at a young age, they can be powerful lights in our troubled world.

Every Sunday, we have a brief Children's Church where we recognize birthdays, take up an offering and worship together in song.  Sunday School classes are divided as follows: Ages 3-5 and Ages 6-12.  Our Kids' Club format changed and we now combine with our Youth Group one night a month as Boy's/Girl's/Youth Night.  Children ages 5-12 are welcome to attend this fun activity night where Jesus is our focus.  (Children ages 3 & 4 are welcome with parental supervision.)

We thank God for the children He has brought to High Way Church and the many more that will come.  We thank God for the children of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows and pray that they will come to know Him.  We thank God for the responsibility of teaching children about Him and pray that He will help all of us to Shine for His glory.
